Specialist Apprenticeship Programme (SAP)

TrainingThe SAP programme provides a two year training course to provide participants with a QCF Level 2 qualifications and the skills needed to install lead on a variety of building from domestic housing to historic and listed buildings, churches and cathedrals.

The training is provided through a combination of formal instruction at the LSA training centre with on-site training with an employer where the final assessment and knowledge of the participant will be carried out.

The SAP is a great way to improve your skills and is designed to provide flexibility through the onsite training elements to suit any employer’s business needs.

A Level 3 qualification can be attained through an additional year of training. This includes Decorative Leadwork and Casting. This is suitable for people wanting to specialize in heritage, conservation and restoration work.
