About Us

The LSTA's Mission

The LSTA’s mission, as the UK’s leading provider of CITB and City & Guilds accredited courses in Lead and Hard Metals, is to provide the highest quality training delivered by fully qualified teaching staff to those working in the roofing industry. Through the provision of these flexible courses, students are then equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue a successful career as a specialist roofing contractor, receiving nationally recognised qualifications from CITB and City and Guilds, from basic courses to advanced heritage skills.

The LSTA also offers accredited mobile training throughout the UK and bespoke training courses as well as on-site assessment to ensure the widest possible access to skills for those involved in a career in roofing. It also provides support to the wider construction industry through the publication of the Rolled Lead Sheet Manual 2018 edition.
